Myllymaki workshop coming to Valley City

The North Dakota Winter Show will host the Judy Myllymaki Barrel Horse Workshop April 9-11 at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center, Valley City, N.D.
The workshop includes stations which allow participants to learn the isolation of moves required to make a winning barrel run; how to “tap off” (which is done before the run begins); and “Body English,” which enables you and your horse to become a winning team. Participants can also expect to learn problem solving solutions, confidence building and the influence of a winning attitude.
To enroll a horse in the clinic:
The workshop is limited to the first 20 paid riders. The total fee (includes stall + 1 bale of straw) is $400 and is non-refundable. Positions can be sold by the rider. A $200 deposit is due by Feb. 1 and $200 due by March 1. An extra horse is allowable, horses can be alternated through stations, not both horses at the same station or both making the runs. The fee for an extra horse is $150 and includes a stall. One helper is allowed at no charge per paid rider. No outside bedding is allowed, bedding can be purchased from the NDWS. Paid spectators are allowed at $50/weekend or $30/day. Children under 12 years pay $25/weekend or $15/day.
