More hunting accidents in South Dakota in 2009

PIERRE (AP) — Most of the 37 hunting-related accidents in South Dakota last year occurred during the pheasant hunting season.
In addition, the state Game, Fish and Parks Department reported one death from a heart attack during a pheasant hunt, and one injury that occurred during recreational trap shooting.
The number of accidents last year topped the 20-year average of 32. It included two cases in which hunters fell when a tree stand collapsed.
