2018 Annual Corriente Show and Roping Grand Champion bull, Diamond A bull 74.

The Cam-Plex in Gillette, Wy., was the site of the annual Plain Area Corriente Regional Show and Roping in September.

There were two days of roping for the members and one day of pen judging. The Performance judging was done as the cattle were actually roped and bulldogged in the arena. There were 133 class entries representing seven different states. The Grand Champion bull was Diamond A bull 74, shown by Diamond A Cattle Co of Pukwana, S.D. Reserve Champion was Cain bull 612, show by M&S Management of Huntly, Mont. Grand Champion Cow was Mud Creek Cow 442, shown by Panhandle Cattle of Scottsbluff Neb. Reserve Cow honors went to Phipps Cow 719, show by Phipps Ranch of Nebraska. In the roping events, the Breeders Roping was won by Dick Dovey and Stur Thrush. Second place went to Dusty Schwartz and Stur Thrush.

First place in the Members Roping went to the team of Tom Mills and Mark Cain. The second place team was Dusty Schwartz and Rockey Ray. Roping Number Three was won by Tom Mills and Calvin Schwartz with second place being won by Tom Mills and Stur Thrush.
