Metallica donates $10K to Feeding South Dakota

Heavy metal rockers Metallica donated $10,000 to Feeding South Dakota Tuesday night as the band played at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.

Heavy metal rockers Metallica donated $10,000 to Feeding South Dakota Tuesday night as the band played at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.

Feeding South Dakota in a nonprofit group that works to end hunger in the state.

The contribution will provide 30,000 meals to the one in nine people in the state who don’t get enough to eat, according to a news release from Feeding South Dakota.

“We are so excited to have Metallica choose to recognize and support our organization for the work that is being done to end hunger in South Dakota,” Jennifer Stensaas, marketing and communications coordinator with Feeding South Dakota, said in the release.
