DairiConcepts, a dairy ingredient supplier in Pollock, is seeking a minor air quality permit from the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources, according to a public notice in the Prairie Pioneer.

The permit will allow for the operation of a 1964 boiler that operates at 11.88 million British thermal units per hour, a 1978 boiler that operates at 13.39 million British thermal units per hour and a 2008 diesel generator that operates at 364 horsepower.

A review of the application shows both boilers and the generator can operate in compliance with the state’s air pollution control rules and the federal Clean Air Act. Approval is recommended.

Public comments are due by April 6 to Levi Jackson; PMB 2020; Department of Environment and Natural Resources; 523 E. Capitol Ave.; Pierre, SD 57501.
