BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State 4-H Ambassador team invites all teens, ages 13 to 18, to attend the 2019 4-H Teen Leadership Conference (TLC) held on the South Dakota State University campus, June 3-7.
Organized by the 4-H Teen Leadership Conference planning committee made up of members of the South Dakota State 4-H Ambassador team, this year’s conference theme is Mastering Life’s Circus.
“Through TLC, I formed lifelong friendships that I have carried through to college and plan to keep for years to come. Make friends, because you will have them for years to come,” said Nathan Linke, State 4-H Ambassador President and Teen Leadership Conference planning committee member.

2019 Teen Leadership Conference highlights
Internationally recognized speaker and author, Jones Loflin is the conference keynote. Loflin’s workshops will explore how to better juggle multiple priorities, similar to the lead character in the book he co-authored, “Juggling Elephants.”
A complete description of the tracts, workshops and tours is located at: https://extension.sdstate.edu/event/2019-teen-leadership-conference.
Teens who attend the conference will have the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of engaging networking and educational opportunities. “Participants get to choose what tracks and workshops they want to attend. Whether they want to explore photography or learn about artificial insemination, the choice is theirs. At TLC, teens get to explore their interests, which is what makes it such a great experience,” Linke said.
