Hip-hop show set for Thursday
Aberdeen native Denham McDermott is a member of the hip-hop group Who Dun It Entertainment, which will perform Thursday nightApril 11 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 621 Circle Drive.
Also performing will be Huey, United Ballaz of Sioux Falls and Corey McIntosh. The lineup also includes DGT, Nova Cain and Cuban Black. The Party Team Tour is presented by Kowabunga Music and Who Dun It.
McDermott, an Aberdeen Central graduate, joined Who Dun It Entertainment two years ago. The group has played with such national recording artists as Lil Scrappy, Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Shop Boyz and Dj Unk.
The group’s video for “Bandz” has received almost half a million views on YouTube, and McDermott’s Twitter account is followed by more than 75,000 people, according to a news release.
Recently, after a performance at the Atlanta Hip Hop Festival, Who Dun It Entertainment was voted one of the top 20 unsigned artists in the nation, according to the release.
McDermott continues to work on his undergraduate degree at North Dakota State University, where he majors in criminal justice and music.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The concert is for those 18 and older.
Admission is $20, with a $5 discount for those with a student or military ID.
