Sweet Jazz Tuesday night
Northern State University’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble is offering a new event Tuesday — Sweet Jazz, which combines music, coffee and dessert.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. at the Student Center Centennial rooms A and B.
The program includes selections such as “Smile,” “Summertime,” “All of Me,” “I’ve Got the World on a String,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
The NSU Vocal Jazz Ensemble is directed by Wendy van Gent. Special guests will be Grant Manhart, trumpet, and Ron Parker, piano.
Tickets are $5 in advance and are available at Ken’s SuperFair Foods and the NSU music department office. Any jazz student member also has tickets. Admission will be $8 at the door.
