Area men’s chorus performing May 5

The Aberdeen Area Men’s Chorus will present its spring concert at 3 p.m. May 5 at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Kline St.

The program begins with “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother.” The first half also includes “I Carry Your Heart with Me” and “Hark! I Hear the Harps Eternal.”

The second half of the show includes “Ave Maria,” “Down in the Valley,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Luck Be a Lady” and “America.”

Chorus members will perform at intermission.

Tickets are $10. Those 18 and younger get in free. Tickets are available at Engel Music, Ken’s SuperFair Foods and Kessler’s.

The chorus has 30 members. First tenors are Chris Hodges, Chuck Hodges, Chaun Peterson, Cris Peterson and Lee Schinkel.

Second tenors are Jim Downie, Randy Fauth, Mike Jacobson, Dennis Maloney, Mark Marion, Myron Schopp, Luther Schumacher, Marv Seyer and Tom Wilkie.

Baritones are Ken Jones, Bob Kiesz, Rueben Miller, Gary Nelson, Darel Peterson and Dave Ristau.

Basses are Greg Boekelheide, Bruce Carson, Wes Elliott, Allen Gates, Matthew Harmel, John Naughten, Allan Ochsner, Bob Ohnstad, Frank Waldt and Harvey Wollman.

The director is Clark Lunstrum. Missy Nguyen is the accompanist.
