Questers’ Garden Walk planned
The three Aberdeen Questers chapters have joined together to sponsor the area’s annual Garden Walk, which will be June 13.
The theme for this year’s Garden Walk is “The Hub City,” which celebrates the history of the Aberdeen area.
Home and garden tours will take place from noon to 8 p.m., rain or shine.
The 2013 event will feature self-guided tours of “four outstanding area gardens,” as well as tours of the interior of the Troy and Suzette McQuillen home at 1316 Birchwood Lane and the Richardson, Wyly, Wise, Sauck and Hieb Law Office at 1 Court St., according to a press release.
In addition, hand-prepared pastries will be served at the Milwaukee Depot Event Center, 102 Railroad Ave. S.W.
Advance tickets are $10 and are available at Kessler’s and Kathleen’s in Aberdeen and at Olde Bank Floral ’n’ More in Groton. Tickets will be $12 the day of the event.
For further information contact Barb at 605-225-3678. Proceeds from the garden walk will fund local Questers projects of historic preservation and restoration.
