YAPAtorium announces summer hours, activities

The YAPAtorium has changed its hours and daily programming for the summer.

The summer hours took effect last week. During the summer, The YAPAtorium opens at 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The youth center closes at 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays.

On Mondays, the YAPA art crew meets at 4:30 p.m. Art crew is a free gathering of artists ages 11 to 19 who meet to create, learn about and discuss art together. On Tuesdays, the pool league gathers at 2 p.m., followed by pool instructional hour at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, a Magic the Gathering tournament is at 2 p.m. Thursdays offer “Fun in the Park,” which will feature an outdoor activity at 2 p.m., followed by event planning meetings at 5 p.m. On Fridays, art night begins at 4:30 p.m., and movie night is at 7 p.m. Saturday is open mic night at 7 p.m.
