Activities planned at Storybook Land

The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is sponsoring activities at Storybook Land in Wylie Park.

This week kicks off with an activity sponsored by the Aberdeen Optimist Club at 7 p.m. Monday, where participants of all ages can create a fishing game. Another craft activity Thursday will have participants making a “Wild Things” puppet after listening to the story.

Storytime with the Alexander Mitchell Public Library and other activities for children ages 3-7 is at 10 a.m. Friday on the Castle Stage. The theme is “Fables and Fairytales.”

The 25th season of Storybook Land Theatre begins this weekend with 7 p.m. performances Friday and Saturday of “The Princess and the Pea.”
