String performance Tuesday night

The Summer Strings Ensemble, a volunteer community group, will perform several times this summer at the Visitors Center at Storybook Land.

The first performance will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday (June 25). Admission is free.

The members of the Summer String Ensemble practice on a regular basis for the sole purpose of performances.

Musical selections range from pop to light classical pieces. The ensemble includes Forrest Allred, Hannah Johnson, Grace Douglas, Eric Ulvog, Jessie Kolb, Josh Kimball, Kelsey Fliehs, Aldis Ulvog, Kristin Fliehs, Jonathon Mitzel and Kelsey Mundt. Nancy Ohnstad is the director.

Tuesday’s selections will include “Lean on Me,” “On the Trail,” “Nanigo,” “Shout it Out” and “Jupiter.”

The next concert is scheduled for July 30.
