South Dakota Arts Council hosts workshop Wednesday in Aberdeen

The South Dakota Arts Council staff will hold a workshop Wednesday evening for artists interested in applying to the arts council’s teaching or touring artist rosters at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center, 225 Third Ave. S.E.

The workshop runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Staff members will focus on the Artists in Schools and Communities and Touring Arts programs. The deadline for artists to apply for those rosters is Sept. 1. The workshop will begin with an overview of the programs and application process, followed by a Q&A session with arts council staff members and current roster artists who attend.
