Rearick to perform at Red Rooster on Wednesday

Musician Stephanie Rearick will bring her “Junior” show to the Red Rooster Coffee House Wednesday night. Her music, which is very textured, is Casio-based pop utilizing a Boss Loopstation to build keyboard, trumpet and voice loops.

Rearick is promoting her “Dreamworld” album. Rearick’s work is sometimes dark piano-based classical/cabaret/pop. According to her publicity material, she is often compared to Laurie Anderson, Tom Waits, David Bowie, Kate Bush and Regina Spektor. Kyle Klipfel will also perform.

The music starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $2.
