Northern State University will dedicate its new International Sculpture Garden at 2 p.m. Friday.

The sculpture garden, at NSU’s Baumgart Plaza, west of the Johnson Fine Arts Center, will display five sculptures — titled “Four Elements,” “Meditation,” “Reminiscence,” “Rendezvous” and “Triumph” — by acclaimed Vietnamese artist Tuan Nguyen. The pieces, valued at $1.2 million, are made possible thanks to the Picture Art Foundation.

NSU alum Benjamin Victor, who was instrumental in bringing the Tuan sculptures to campus, will host a reception in his studio, in the lower level of Lincoln Hall, following the dedication.

Parking is available at the Barnett Center, and a shuttle will bring people to the reception after the dedication.
