Exhibit celebrates folk heritage
“Sundogs and Sunflowers,” an exhibit celebrating folk heritage of the Great Plains, is running through the end of the month at the Ellendale Opera House Lobby and Gallery.
The exhibit includes 28 full-color photographic panels that provide a sampling from the 10 chapters of “Sundogs and Sunflowers: Folklore and Folk Art of the Northern Great Plains,” a book published by the North Dakota Council on the Arts. A few artifacts are included in the display.
The hours for viewing are noon to 5 p.m. every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, or by special appointment for larger groups. There is no admission and donations are accepted.
The local sponsor is OPERA Inc., the Organization of the People in Ellendale for the Restoration of the Arts.
