This summer, the Gilberts had photographs taken of the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Pro Touring by Captured by Megan Photography, which is based in LaMoure, N.D. The photos were posted onto Facebook.

A vice president at AccuAir Suspension then posted one of the photos onto the company’s Instagram, where it went viral and garnered more than 1,700 likes from users in one hour.

“It was insane,” Kristi Gilbert said. “We had looked at the car for 10 years and I knew it was amazing, but I was still surprised.”

The Instagram photo now has more than 17,000 likes.

That evening, Super Chevy Magazine contacted the Gilberts about sharing their story and photographs of their car.

Her husband was overwhelmed by the call, she said. It’s been a lifelong dream to be featured in the car magazine.

“It’s an exciting opportunity and such an honor,” she said.

The Chevelle should be featured in an upcoming issue. He’s still installing some things in the Chevelle after having some companies reach out to him with their products.

Mike is very humble about his accomplishments, said Kristi Gilbert, who is supportive of his craft.
