The Sidekicks Youth Mentoring Program will host its third annual “Golf Balls for Smalls” event Saturday (Oct. 5) at Swisher Field.

A team from Aberdeen Fire and Rescue will drop 4,000 numbered golf balls onto a mock golf course at 1 p.m. before the Northern State football game in the south parking lot of Swisher Field. Ticketholders have a chance to win $100 or $1,000.

To purchase a ticket, visit the Aberdeen Family YMCA, Malchow’s, Ken’s SuperFair Foods or the Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. After the golf balls have been dropped, kids have a chance to win prizes by picking up as many golf balls as they can.

“Come out and join us for our fun event and support our Youth Mentoring Program,” said a news release.
