A national sheep show will take place in Redfield, South Dakota, in July.

The 2021 U.S. Targhee Sheep Association National Show and Sale will be held July 15-17 at the Spink County Fairgrounds. Events will include a junior show, open show, annual association meeting, picnic, sheep dog trial and more.

The association was founded in 1951 in Dubois, Idaho. Targhee sheep are well-suited to intensive and range styles of production and are popular in both North Dakota and South Dakota, according to a news release from the South Dakota Sheep Growers Association.
