Money is available through the Castlewood Recovery Fund for households and businesses within the Castlewood School District that suffered losses as a result of the May 12 tornado.

An application is required to receive immediate and long-term funding. Affected households and businesses should dial 211, and a South Dakota Helpline Center staff member will assist in completing a damage assessment.

The Castlewood Community Foundation has established the fund. Donations have already been made by individuals, businesses, churches and other groups, according to a news release.

Donations to the Castlewood Relief Fund should be sent to the Castlewood Community Foundation, PO Box 310, Castlewood, SD 57223.
