Stately 'Toketee' offers trending one-story floor plan
Handsome brick graces most of the exterior of the traditional Toketee house plan. Stone accents add visual interest for those passing by. The front door is recessed adding privacy and protection from the elements.
Inside the double front door opens to a vaulted entry. Just a few steps away is a convenient coat closet and directly off the entry is a study. With its proximity to the front door along with built-in bookcase and window seat, the study would make an ideal home office. At the end of the entry the floor plan transitions to a transverse hallway.
To the left, the hallway leads past the formal dining room and ends at the home's two secondary bedrooms. Straight ahead an arched opening frames the vaulted great room. The rear wall of the great room is filled with windows flooding the space with natural light. For those who live in areas where weather or bugs are an issue, the great room opens to a screened porch where the outdoors can be enjoyed in peace and quiet.
The well-appointed kitchen is open to the great room, though an eating bar helps to provide visual separation. The kitchen is a home chef’s dream with ample counter space, a center island with cooktop and a walk-in pantry. Those who enjoy slightly more formal entertaining will appreciate the separation between the kitchen and dining. After a delightful meal is enjoyed it is easy to retire to the home's sunroom where the outdoors can continue to be enjoyed.
The owners’ suite is at the end of the hallway that crosses the Toketee’s one-story floor plan along with a half-bathroom for guests. French doors open to the vaulted owners’ suite which is a spacious retreat that boasts direct access to the back deck, a sitting room, and private bathroom complete with twin sinks, a soaking tub, walk-in shower and large walk-in closet.
Directly across from the owners’ suite is access to the attached three-car garage. Ideal for a large property or corner city lot, the garage bays are accessed from the side.
