Southeast Farm Winter Meeting Jan. 29

Brookings – On behalf of the Southeast S.D. Experiment Farm Board of Directors, we would like to invite producers to attend the Southeast Farm Annual Winter meeting held Jan. 29 in Hutchinson County at the Tripp Community Center/Fire Hall, Main Street, Tripp.

The public meeting begins at 1 p.m. with a short business meeting followed by research updates. Nathan Mueller, SDSU Extension Agronomist and Anthony Bly, Ag Lab Express will discuss their observations with plant tissue analysis and micronutrient use. Ron Gelderman, Professor, SDSU will review some of his work in soil fertility with N fertilization of corn at the Southeast Farm. Peter Sexton, Southeast Farm Supervisor, will give a quick overview of current projects at the farm. Graig Reicks, Research Associate, SDSU will present inform. Bob Thaler, Extension Swine Specialist, will give an update on swine research.
