Livestock workshops to be held at Ramkota Hotel Jan. 25-26
Aberdeen – Northern Plains Sustainable Ag is pleased to announce livestock workshops as part of the annual winter conferences. The conference is open to the public and will be held in Aberdeen. The annual event will include trade show vendors, educational breakout sessions, and nationally- renowned keynote speakers.
The conference itself offers several tracks of education. One of the tracks is beef production. Gearld Fry and Gabe Brown are the featured livestock speakers of the conference. Gearld Fry will cover herd health, improvement of a herd, milk quality and reproduction, bull genetics and management. Gabe Brown will cover herd topics of growing and finishing cattle on tame, native and cover crop pastures, calving on pasture and winter grazing. High stock density/mob grazing and rotational grazing will also be discussed during his workshops. We are very fortunate to have two renowned livestock professionals sharing their knowledge with us states Karri Stroh, NPSAS Executive Director. Attendees will not be disappointed with the quality of information they will receive from these 2 speakers.
Other featured speakers this year include Matt Dillon, Dr. Richard Olree, Mark Kopecky, Kathy Wiederholt, Mark Werner, and Gary Zimmer just to name a few. The conference offers nearly 30 breakout sessions each day covering topics in crop production, livestock production, research results, gardening, preserving your food produce, fruit production, marketing, and estate planning.
