Angus champions at 2013 Iowa Beef Expo Angus Show

Angus exhibitors led 124 lots at the 2013 Iowa Beef Expo Angus Show & Sale, Feb. 13 in Des Moines, Iowa. Chad Zehnder, Stanchfield, Minn., evaluated the 89 bulls and 35 females that sold the following day.

Callie Jensen, Plainfield, Iowa, consigned the grand champion bull. JAF Lookout 1259 is a March 2012 son of B C Lookout 7024. He earlier claimed late junior calf champion.

Schroeder Brilliance 53 claimed reserve grand champion bull and intermediate junior calf champion honors. Jason Schroeder, Clarence, Iowa, consigned the February 2012 son of S A V Brilliance 8077.

SLL YCC Keymura Katy 1221 won grand champion female. Sydney Younge, Ventura, Iowa, consigned the April 2011 daughter of Plainview Lutton E102. She earlier claimed top honors in the junior division.

JEM Angus, Gladbrook, Iowa, consigned the reserve grand champion female and late junior calf champion JEM Miss Susan 123Z. She is a March 2012 daughter of HCC JEM Desperado.
