4-H News

The Three River Ranchers 4-H club met March 10 with 8 members present. The U.S. Flag Pledge was led by Jessica Hertel, and the 4-H pledge by Erin Hertel.

The secretary’s report from last meeting was read and approved. No treasurer’s report was available.

Old and new business was read and discussed. The members were reminded to pick up and deliver fruit on March 14. The 4-H camp dates were announced; sign up will begin next week.

Chandler Ellwein gave a demonstration on how to recycle t-shirts by changing the style and design.

The members made bunnies out of wash clothes to take home for Easter.

Jessica and Erin Hertel hosted the meeting.

The next meeting will be April 14, 1 p.m. in Westport.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Jessica Hertel and a second was given by Keely Podoll.

Dakota Sharpshooters

The Dakota Sharpshooters met April 2 at Northern Electric. This meeting was the club’s annual Project Night. The members were able to come and leave at any time. Our members had an opportunity to make a quillow, a hovercraft, a leather bookmark or bracelet, crochet a scarf, or do robotics.
