Graduate student from Webster receives scholarship
Rebecca Whitlock received the Darwin and JoAnn Britzman Graduate Scholarship recently at SDSU in Brookings.
Darwin Britzman graduated from Watertown High School and earned a B.S. degree in Poultry Science from SDSU in 1953, a M.S. degree in Poultry Nutrition from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 1962, and a Ph.D. in Animal Science from SDSU in 1964. Britzman was employed by Harvest States Cooperatives GTA for 32 1/2 years. In 1994, he was named a Distinguished Alumnus for Service to SDSU. In 1995 he started his own consulting firm called International Nutrition Consulting Inc. and has worked as a consultant in 22 counties, most recently in Egypt. He has served as President of the SDSU Alumni Council and is a trustee of the SDSU Foundation.
Rebecca is an Animal Science Graduate student at SDSU working on her thesis project pertaining to Equine Science. Rebecca is from Webster, S.D., and is the daughter of Dale and Cherrie Whitlock.
