Runnings presents check to Watertown Area FFA
On May 2, 2013, Gary the manager of Runnings, presented a check for over $1600 to the Watertown Area FFA Chapter. The funds were the result of Runnings participation in Home Grown, an initiative developed by Red Brand that financially supports local FFA Chapters.
The community support for Home Grown and our FFA chapter has been tremendous said Gary. The chapter always does what they can to raise funds, but this was a win-win for everyone. Just by purchasing fence, we were all partnering in the future of the students.
We can’t say thank you enough, said Laurie Johnson, Watertown Area FFA Chapter Advisor. Red Brand has been supporting the FFA for over sixty years as a national sponsor. Now, through Home Grown, they’re building on that by helping local dealers get involved with local chapters. We appreciate the folks at Runnings and everyone in the community who purchased Red Brand fence. The funds donated will go towards sending members to FFA Camp this summer to learn leadership skills. On behalf of the entire chapter, we truly appreciate it.
Home Grown was in effect from January 1st through December 31st and applied to all new orders of Red Brand field fence, sheep and goat fence, barbed wire, and horse fence, placed by Runnings. For every new order placed, $1.00 for every roll was donated to the Watertown Area FFA chapter in Runnings name.
