The April meeting of the Lazy Farmers was held on April 21 at the Groton community center.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Travis Townsend, and the 4-H pledge was led by Lexi Gustafson. Fourteen members answered the roll call question What is your favorite sport? No new members or guests were welcomed. The March secretary’s minutes were read by Alex Stange, and a motion was made by Tanae Lipp. The treasurer’s report was read by Lexi Gustafson, and a motion was made by Alex Stange and seconded by Jamesen Stange to approve.
Old business included a community service project done by Tara who helped with FFA set up.
New business included the planning of the next meeting which was planned to be held on Sunday May 5 at Kruegers farm, and Tara made the motion to donate $250 to the Albrecht family, which was voted and passed by the club. Other donations included donation of 2 benches and $100 to the Threshing Bee, $30 to phonathon and $75 to the community center. A motion was made and approved by Kari Hanson to donate 2 benches to the Brown County Fair and seconded by Maryn Howard.
Highlights from the Newshound were read by Maryn Howard.
Next meeting will be held at 5 p.m., May 5, at Kruegers farm, following clean up at the James Cemetery.
Makayla Jones made a motion to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Lexi Gustafson.
Kari Hanson served the club lunch.
Many public demonstrations were given as follows: The history of Arctic Cat by Lexi, The difference between goats and sheep by Makayla, Anthony Robles (a wrestler) by Lane, and Tips for infants on road-trips, meal time with baby, tips for picking paint colors by Tara.

The May meeting of the Lazy Farmers was held on May 5 at Krueger farm.
Ellie Harms called the meeting to order. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Cassandra Townsend, and the 4-H pledge was led by Kari Hanson. Thirteen members answered the roll call question Have you enrolled projects online and did you get the may newshound? No new members or guests were present. The April secretary’s minutes were read by Alex Stange, and a motion was made by Kari Hanson to approve amended minutes and seconded by Tanae Lipp. The treasurer’s report was read by Lexi Gustafson, and a motion was made by Tessa Erdmann and seconded by Lane Kruger to approve.
Old business included a discussion on enrollment, a community service project performed by Tessa who helped at Golden Living Center and with soccer and Kari Hanson who teaches Sunday school.
New business included the planning of the next meeting on Friday, May 24, at 10:00 a.m. to complete clean up at the James Cemetery in preparation for the Memorial Day holiday. Sandy volunteered to bring drinks, and Jones’ volunteered to bring treats.
Next meeting will be held on Friday, May 24, 10:00 a.m.
Tessa made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Tanae seconded it.
There were no demonstrations or talks.
