MINOT, N.D. (AP) – A crop-spraying pilot suffered what the North Dakota Highway Patrol says are minor injuries when his plane crashed about three miles west of Minot Air Force Base. The patrol says 48-year-old Brian Sturm, of Minot, lost control of the plane June 16 when one of the wings malfunctioned. The plane crashed in a field.

Sturm crawled from the cockpit and laid in the field for nearly two hours before a fellow crop duster pilot found him. He was taken to a Minot hospital.

The patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
