Edmunds County Achievement Days Aug. 7-9
Around the Universe with 4-H is the theme chosen by the Junior Leaders for the 2013 Edmunds County Achievement Days to be held August 7-9 in Ipswich. The Horse Fun Day kicks off the three days on Wednesday, August 7 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Trail Days Arena. Thursday’s events begin with the Dog Show starting at 8 a.m. at the 4-H Building. This will be followed by the entering and judging of all static exhibits. The evening concludes with a pet show followed by the crowning of the new 4-H Royalty. Friday’s events include the Livestock Show followed by the judging of rabbits and cats. The evening will conclude with the annual BBQ, where pork is the main entre followed by the Premium Sale.
The 4-H Leaders Association is again sponsoring a special display booth. The theme chosen was Travel Memorabilia. If you are a seasoned traveler and would like to share some of your souvenirs please bring them to the Extension Office by Aug. 1. There will be a short form to fill out explaining where the item is from.
