The Dakota Sharpshooters met July 23 at Wylie Park for the summer picnic and a short meeting afterward.
Kaitlyn Crawford led the American Pledge, and Travis Sharp led the 4-H pledge. During the meeting members discussed how they are going to promote 4-H at the Brown County Fair. Jeffery Severson gave a talk on how to make a potpourri candle arrangement.
The next meeting will be September 3 at the Northern Electric Building.

The July meeting of the Lazy Farmers was held on July 15, 2013 at Jones Farm.
Wyatt Sombke called the meeting to order. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Turner Webb, and the 4-H pledge was led by Brody Sombke. Seventeen members answered roll call Tell us one project you have completed. A family member of the Leonhardts was present. The June secretary’s minutes were read by Alex Stange, and a motion was made by Brody Sombke to approve and seconded by Mark Leonhardt. The treasurer’s report was read by Alexis Gustafson and a motion was made by Tanae Lipp and seconded by Travis Townsend to approve.
Old business included waiting for approval from the church cemetery to place a bench and rock there.
New business included the selling Bopeep Bingo Tickets which were handed out to Kari, Lane, Tanae, Makayla, and Sarah during the meeting. The tickets need to be handed into the 4-H office with money by August 1. Monday, August 12, at 2 p.m. the club needs to set up tables and chairs for static exhibit judging and take them down at 6 p.m. Jones and Gustafsons volunteered to work in concession stand by the beef barn Thursday, August 15, 7-9:30 a.m. Return livestock and non-livestock forms to the 4-H office by July 29th.
Next meeting will be Fair cleanup Thursday, August 8 from 9:30-11:30. Remember to bring gloves. The members will eat and conduct their business meeting at Pizza Ranch following cleanup.
Mark made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Brody seconded.
Lexi Gustasfson gave a demonstration on How to make taco dip. Travis Townsend did a talk on Lego History.
Lunch was served by the Jones’s and Ostermans.
