Angus entries competed for top honors at the 2013 Minnesota State Fair Angus Show, August 31 in Saint Paul, Minn. Scott Wall, Mason City, Ill., evaluated the 124 entries, which included 89 females, 25 bulls and 10 cow-calf pairs.

2K Rafiki 612 claimed grand champion bull honors. Kelli Retallick, Glen Haven, Wis., and Goihl Family Farms, Lake City, Minn., own the February 2012 son of S A V Brilliance 8077. He first claimed junior champion.

Bullerman Consensus 1320 was named reserve grand champion bull. Bullerman Angus, Adrian, Minn., owns the January 2013 son of Connealy Consensus 7229 that earlier won junior calf champion.

Gambles JAS Jestress 5012 captured grand champion female and intermediate champion for Calli Bayer, Ringle, Wis. She’s a May 2012 daughter of S A V Net Worth 4200.

Wesly Johnson, Pipestone, Minn., claimed reserve grand champion female. Chestnut Wetonka WJ PF 242 is a February 2012 daughter of Connealy Final Product and first won junior champion.

Wesly Johnson also claimed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Ecr Beauty 101 is an April 2011 daughter of S A V Bismarck 5682. A February 2013 bull calf sired by VAR Rocky 80029 completes the winning pair.

Taylor Waugh, Goodhue, Minn., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Seldom Rest Georgina 473 is a February 2010 daughter of Bon View New Design 878. A March 2013 bull calf sired by EXAR Classen 1422B is at side.
