The Dakota Sharpshooters met October 1, 2013, at the Northern Electric Building.
Colin Sprinkle led the American Pledge, and Grace Malsam led the 4-H Pledge. This meeting was the first meeting for the 2013-2014 4-H year. We have four new members. They are Austin Erickson, Mary Feitz, Hallie Haskell, and Shea Jandel. We discussed at the meeting what are dues would be for the members. For a regular member the fee is $3, and for a member in the horse project it is $4. The 4-H enrollment forms will be online like they were last year.
Our club elected new officers for this new 4-H year. The president is Krystyna Stucker; vice president Keyli Sawatzky; secretary Daniel Sharp; treasurer Travis Sharp; corresponding secretary Jessemy Sharp; reporter Megan Malsam; callers Rease Jandel and Hallie Haskell.
4-H week is coming up, and our club will be setting up a display at the Airport Caf of all the projects you can be in. 4-H members will set it up on October 5th. Our club project this year is communication. Our club decided to have four club goals this year. They are:
1. Try to be in at least one new project area.
2. Turn record books in on time.
3. Do at least one club talk.
4. Attend six 4-H meetings during this year.
The 4-H Recognition Event will be Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Ramada.
Our next meeting will be Nov. 10 after the 4-H Recognition Event.
