35th Annual NPSAS Winter Conference set

Organized by Northern Plains Sustainable Agriculture Society (NPSAS), the annual Winter Conference is an extraordinary, farmer-center, local foods event featuring more than 50 exhibitors and 30 informative workshops. Pre-conference workshops will be held on Thursday, January 23 centering on pasture health, grazing systems, ancient grains and raising produce for sale.

This educational and networking conference attracts over 500 sustainable and organic farmer/ranchers, local foodies and agriculture professionals.

We will once again be featuring 2 keynote speakers, William G. Winter, DVM, holistic herd health consultant for grass-based livestock producers and Melinda Hemmelgarn, M.S., R.D. Food Sleuth, LLC “helping people beyond their plants”. In addition, conference workshops will cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, livestock, hog and lamb production, poultry, gardening, soap making, greenhouse and high tunnels, wine making, fermentation, cellaring, soil and human health, weed control, cover crops and local foods.
