LT Brenda’s Hope to sell for Ranchers Relief

Farm Forum

In the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, a time-honored tradition in the cattle industry, Lindskov-Thiel Ranch of Isabel, S.D., will be donating proceeds from the sale of LT Brenda’s Hope 3019 to the Ranchers Relief Fund. Brenda’s Hope is a February 2013 Charolais heifer that will sell in the 2014 National Charolais Sale on Jan. 19 at the National Western Stock Show in Denver.

With a combination of outstanding EPD and performance numbers, LT Brenda’s Hope comes from a long line of maternal females in Lindskov-Thiel’s well-established Brenda cow family. Brenda’s Hope dam is a maternal sister to LT Ledger, the record-setting sire that’s being used heavily in the Charolas breed, both in the U.S and internationally.

Ranchers Relief is a fund set up to aid ranchers that sustained losses in the October 2013 Winter Storm Atlas. The multi-day, early-fall storm took a heavy toll of financial and emotional loss on ranching families across the region.
