Champions named at 2014 NWSS Super Point ROV Angus Show

Angus enthusiasts led 285 entries at the 2014 National Western Stock Show Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, Jan. 15-17 in Denver, Colo. Jarold Callahan, Yukon, Okla., evaluated the 225 females and 60 bulls.

DDA Dameron Northern Light claimed the grand champion bull title after first earning the junior champion title. Double Diamond Angus, Chrisman, Ill., owns the March 2012 son of S A V Brilliance 8077.

Broken Arrow Angus Ranch, Fallon, Nev.; Hoffman Ranch, Thedford, Neb.; and Jake Bloomberg, Berwick, Ill., own the reserve grand champion bull. BSF Opportunist Z5 is a February 2012 son of BSAR Opportunity 914 and was first named reserve junior champion.

Kathryn Coleman, Modesto, Calif., owns the grand champion female. Cherry Knoll Elsa 1210 is a February 2012 daughter of Plainview Lutton E102 and first won junior champion.

Carter Ward, Plattsburg, Mo., claimed reserve grand champion female. PVF Missie 2018 is a January 2012 daughter of S A V Brilliance 8077 and first won reserve junior champion.

• Reserve Spring Bull Calf Champion: Styles Cash R400. Exhibitor: Styles Angus Inc., Brentford, S.D.

• Reserve Intermediate Bull: Reagan’s Bear Mtn RJ 2182. Exhibitor: Reagan Skow, Palisade, Neb.
