Angus champions named at 2014 Keystone International Livestock Exposition

Angus enthusiasts led 108 entries at the 2014 Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE) Angus Show, October 3 in Harrisburg, Pa. Eric Gerdes, West Point, Iowa, evaluated the 88 females, 18 bulls and two cow-calf pairs.

Cherry Knoll Total Product claimed grand champion bull. Matthew Mitchell, Reinholds, Pa., owns the October 2013 son of Connealy Final Product. He first claimed senior champion.

Ajt Highly Impressive 304a won reserve grand champion bull for Ashley Rodeheaver, Friendsville, Md. The April 2013 bull is the son of Dameron First Impression. He first won junior champion.

RF Proven Queen 1310 claimed grand champion and junior champion female. Maddy Udell, Sioux City, Iowa, owns the February 2013 daughter of Rito 9FB3 of 5H11 Fullback.

Cherry Knoll Hara Erica 1312 won reserve grand champion female for Matthew Mitchell, Reinholds, Pa. She is a February 2013 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. She first won reserve junior champion.

Meadow Brook Farm, Frederick, Md., owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. Turning Pt Glory Rita 9957 is a May 2009 daughter of RLA JVW 4L41 0073 S514. A March 2014 heifer calf sired by Connealy Confidence 0100 is at side.

Caleb Schmuck, Thomasville, Pa., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. CMS Special Design 0114 is a May 2010 daughter of W C C Special Design L309. A July 2014 bull calf sired by Trowbridge Yarramen 118 completes the winning pair.
