I-BAND elected Larry Kinev of Dawson as president
The Independent Beef Association of North Dakota (I-BAND) board of directors recently met to count the mail-in ballots following their annual meeting. Directors reelected include district one Kenny Graner of Mandan and Ron Volk of Sentinel Butte and district two Francis Maher of Menoken and Mike Heaton of McKenzie.
All of the policy on the ballot dealt with reform of the beef checkoff. I-BAND calls for no increase in either 1985 Beef Promotion Act or any new state checkoff. But does support rewriting the checkoff under the Commodity, Research, and Information Act of 1996.
The I-BAND board also reorganized electing a new president and vice president, newly elected are Larry Kinev of Dawson as president and Dwight Keller of Mandan as vice president.
