Brown County Old Time Tractor Pullers Association awards banquet results

The Brown County Old Time Tractor Pullers held there annual banquet on Dec. 13 at the Flame Restaurant, in Aberdeen. Members compete throughout the year on a point system for awards in each class for first and second place. There were 10 sanctioned tractor pulls during the 2014 pulling season with an accumulation of 871 hooks. Thirty three members competed with 55 different tractors for the awards. Those receiving awards were:

2700# Class: 1st Connie Johannsen-Farmall Super C; 2nd Jim Zeck – Case VAC.

3200# Class: 1st Jim D. Smith- Farmall H; 2nd Karl Johannsen – Oliver 660.

3700# Class: 1st Jim D. Smith-Farmall H; 2nd Karl Johannsen – Oliver 660.

4500# Class: 1st Connie Johannsen-Oliver Super 77; 2nd John Roemmich – Oliver 88.

5500# Class: 1st Rudy Jacobs-Oliver 880; 2nd Jim D. Smith – Farmall M.

6500# Class: 1st Jim D Smith-Farmall M; 2nd Rudy Jacobs – Oliver 880.

7500# Class: 1st Leonard Schatz-IH 560; 2nd Bob Potts – IH WD9.

8500# Class: 1st Leonard Schatz-IH 560; 2nd Bob Potts – IH WD9.

10,000# Class: 1st Rudy Jacobs-Case 900; 2nd Ronald Gab – IH 660.

Bill Hearnen Sr. of Conde was recognized by the BCOTTPA for being the oldest active puller in the history of the organization. Bill competes in 3 weight classes with his John Deere G and Farmall 450. He was presented a birthday cake along with a commemorative gift in belated celebration of his 90th birthday.
