ICON Ag & Turf and FFA to award local scholarships

LE MARS, Iowa – ICON Ag & Turf announced they are once again partnering with John Deere and FFA to award college scholarships to local FFA members. This is the second year ICON Ag & Turf has partnered with John Deere in this Scholarship Program, which is administered by The National FFA Organization. ICON Ag & Turf is proud to be awarding $10,000 of scholarships again in 2015.

ICON Ag & Turf is sponsoring five $2,000 scholarships through the National FFA Scholarship program. These scholarships will provide financial aid to FFA members attending two or four year colleges. “ICON is proud to be able to sponsor the educational growth of our area youth. These five $2,000 scholarships allow us to make the biggest impact on education within our territory,” said Adam Timmerman, General Manager of ICON Ag & Turf.

The 2014 ICON scholarship recipients were Tommy Bomgaars and Jayln Van Zee both of Sioux Center High School, Kayla Tindall of Akron-Westfield High School, Matt Metzger of West Lyon High School and Megan Pippert of Hartley-Melvin Sanborn High School.

These scholarships are among the more than 1,500 awarded through the National FFA Organization Scholarship Program each year. Scholarship applications are available online through February 1, 2015, at www.FFA.org/Scholarships. Please apply online.
