Dakota Sharpshooters

The Dakota Sharpshooters met on Jan. 13. Brianna Goldade led the American Pledge and Rease Jandel led the 4-H Pledge.

Club members assembled soup packets for the local food shelter. The Dakota Sharpshooters donated $600 to the clover hall campaign.

The Dakota Sharpshooters’ next meeting will be Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. at Northern Electric.

Friendly Fellows and Daisies

The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H club met on Nov. 2 at the Methodist Church in Claremont. The meeting was called to order by Dylan Frey. The American Pledge was led by Nicole Marzahn, and the 4-H pledge was led by Colin Frey. Roll call topic was Favorite Halloween Candy. The treasurer’s report was approved by Trey Wright and seconded by Hannah Miller. The secretary’s reports were approved by Colin Frey and seconded Braden Boe. There was no old business that followed. For new business Mike Frey discussed the Christmas party. Andrew Marzahn motioned to closed new business and Kennedy Anderson seconded. The meeting was adjourned by Landen Marzahn and seconded by Mallory Miller. Kamryn Fliehs gave a demonstration speech on Crazy Looms. Lunch was served by Kaitlyn and Kennedy Anderson. The next meeting will be Dec. 2 at the Claremont Legion.

Friendly Fellows and Daisies

The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H club held its annual Christmas party on Dec. 7 at the Claremont Legion. Members and their families attending were Kaitlyn and Kennedy Anderson; Braden Boe; Kennedy Clark; Carly, Clay and Austin Crawford; Kamryn, Karsten, Braeden Fliehs; Dylan and Colin Frey; Kassidy and Kalli Larson; Breanna, Landon, Nicole, and Andrew Marzahn; Hanna, Mallory, and Tucker Miller; Logan Ringgenberg; Elizabeth Sanderson; Jonathan, Hannah, and Jakob Sumption; Bradyn Wieker; and Madilyn Wright. Guests include Janice Fliehs, Jackie Pigott, Yvonne Gibbs, Marie Patterson, Bernice Docter, Virginia Pulfery, Janet Neff, Mary Anne Clark, Connie Anderson, Kenny and Janet Frey. Attendees played card bingo with lots of prizes being won. The members presented the guests with a giving plate and a bag of trail mix. We then had a late lunch, and the 4-H members sang Christmas carols to the guests and leaders. Mike Frey presented each 4-H member with awards for the year and gifts. The club presented a slide show to their guests of everything the members have done throughout the year. The next meeting will be held Jan. 4 at the Jungle in Groton.

The treasurer’s report was approved by Andrew Marzahn and seconded by Kennedy Anderson. Secretary’s report was approved by Braden Boe and seconded by Trey Wright. Old businesses was the Christmas party. Colin Frey closed old businesses and seconded by Nicole Marzahn. Other businesses was boiling. The meeting was adjourned by Kaitlyn Anderson and seconded by Carly Crawford. Carly Crawford gave a talk and demonstration on Sauerkraut. Lunch was served by Dylan and Colin Frey. The next meeting will be Feb. 8 at the Claremont church.
