ICON and National FFA scholarships awarded

Le Mars, Iowa — ICON Ag & Turf in conjunction with The National FFA Organization and John Deere awarded five $2,000 scholarships to northwest Iowa students. These scholarships are from ICON Ag & Turf and John Deere Company through a special project of the National FFA Foundation.

The recipients are:

• Tyler Dolieslager of the Rock Valley High School FFA. Tyler plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at South Dakota State University.

• Kayla Morgan of MVAO High School FFA.

• Karlene Negus of South O’Brien High School FFA

• Mitchell Sandbulte of Sioux Center High School FFA. Mitchell plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at Dordt College.

• Nick Schroeder of Le Mars High School FFA. Nick plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at Iowa State University.

“ICON is honored to take part in the funding of these scholarships for the second year and promote excellence while enabling students to pursue their educational goals,” said Adam Timmerman, ICON Ag & Turf General Manager.

The recipients were selected from 7,171 applicants from across the country. Selections were based on the applicant’s leadership, academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural or work experience in agricultural education and future goals.
