Day County 4-H Shooting Sports results

Day Co. 4-H Shooting Sports participated at the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre. Individual archery award winners were Miranda Hanson, junior, 1st in compound with sights and 3rd in recurve with sights; and Savanna Bloom, junior, 2nd in 3-D compound.

Placing in state competition in Match 1 in archery were Miranda Hanson, junior, 1st in compound with sights; and Addison Kuecker, beginner, 4th in compound with sights with a release.

Placing in state competition in Match 2 in archery were Nolan Richie, senior, 3rd in compound without sights and 3rd in recurve without sights; Miranda Hanson, junior, 1st in recurve with sights and 1st in recurve open; and Hannah Reiner, beginner, 3rd in recurve with sights.

Shooting 22 Pistol were senior Connor Fischer, blue; and junior Hanna Bloom, blue. Shooting Air Rifle were junior Savanna Bloom, purple; junior Brianna Duerre, red; and senior Allison Duerre, white. Shooting BB Gun were beginners Ella Kaufman and Addison Kuecker, blue; junior Hanna Bloom, red; and juniors Maysen Grewe, Rana Hegg, Alexa Herr, and Lane Stern, white. Shooting Air Pistol were beginners Ella Kaufman and Addison Kuecker, blue; junior Maxwell Kuecker, blue; beginner Hannah Reiner, red; juniors Hanna Bloom, Brianna Duerre, and Rana Hegg, red; and senior Samantha Bloom, red.

The annual Shooting Sports Fun Day was held at the Izaak Walton and awards and ribbons were handed out. Receiving Coaches Awards in Archery were beginners Charlotte Grewe and Daniel Meland, juniors Haley Lorensberg and Hayden Niles, and seniors Erika Herr and Shyanne McCarlson. Receiving Coaches Awards in Guns were Ben Kwasniewski, Ella Kaufman, and Alexa Herr. Receiving Coaches Awards in Shotgun were beginners Isaac Hubsch and Addison Kuecker, juniors Riley Chapin and Lane Stern, and senior Allison Duerre. Junior Connor Fischer received the award for shooting a perfect score of 25 out of 25. Tanner Amundson, Savanna Bloom, Trevor Case, and Hayden Niles were recognized for shooting robin hoods in archery and Daniel Meland was recognized for shooting a robin hood two times.

Receiving arrows for joining the 100 club for shooting a score of 100 or more were Brianna Duerre, Charlotte Grewe, Erika Herr, Isaac Hubsch, Kendra Johnson, Evan Kretzschmar, Hayden McCarlson, Daniel Meland, Hayden Niles, Zack Ninke, Ethan Opitz, Drew Reetz, Hannah Reiner, and Alexandria Schwab. Joining the 120 club were Olivia Dorsett, Daniel Meland, Zack Ninke, Ethan Opitz, Coby Reetz, Lane Stern, and Jared Storms. Joining the 140 club was Lane Stern. Joining the 150 club and the third person in Day County to join the 150 club was Addison Kuecker.
