Thunder Seed welcomes new district sales manager
DILWORTH, Minn. – Thunder Seed, Dilworth, Minnesota, hired Doug Miller as its new district sales manager for its northern Minnesota territory to support its growing network of dealers and farmers. Miller will support dealers and farmers with seed-based recommendations that match seed varieties to soil conditions, as well as grow Thunder Seed’s presence in the region.
“We are excited to have Doug as the new district sales manager on our team,” said Crystal Adams, Thunder Seed chief operating officer. “He has terrific rapport with many dealers and growers in the Red River Valley, which he will continue to develop, as he builds new relationships throughout the region.”
Miller brings more than six years of agriculture and seed sales experience to his new role at Thunder Seed. Previously, he was a precision farming advisor at RDO Equipment in Fargo, ND for 2 1/2 years where he trained customers on how to use the technology for maximum field crop potential. Prior to that, he worked 2 years as agronomist at a regional seed company covering Northwest Minnesota, North Dakota and Western Canada. He was also a location manager at Crop Production Services in Ada, Minnesota where he oversaw the agronomy store’s day-to-day operations, including seed and fertilizer sales, and he trained agronomy representatives with the skills needed to support growers for a successful agriculture season.
“There is great potential to grow our network of dealers and growers as Thunder Seed continues to produce and develop top-yielding soybeans, corn and sunflower varieties,” Miller said. “I’m excited to be part of the team to support and grow those relations by helping farmers determine the right seed for their fields, along with providing sound agronomic advice for pest and disease control.”
He lives in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota with his wife and daughter.
