Dakota 4-H Youth Prospect Show set for June 6-7

The Dakota 4-H Youth Prospect Livestock Show will be held June 6 and 7 at the Codington County Extension Complex in Watertown.

The show will include sheep, beef, swine and meat goat. Entry fees will be $20 per head. No pre-registration required. All entries will be taken on the day of the show.

For more information contact your local Extension Office. This is a South Dakota Junior Points Show.

Saturday – June 6

Noon – Sheep Show (Jr. Points Show)

2 p.m. – Market Meat Goat Show (Jr. Points Show)

immediately following Sheep Show Jr. Points Show

4:30 p.m. – 4-H Livestock Judging

Sunday – June 7

9:30 a.m. – Swine Show (Jr. Points Show)

1 p.m. – Beef Show (Jr. Points Show)

4-H Rabbit, Cat and Poultry Workshop

A rabbit, cat and poultry workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 9, at the Codington County Extension Office. Learn more about showing a rabbit, cat and poultry. The workshop will begin at 10 a.m.

Malt Wagon

The Malt Wagon is coming to Watertown June 22-23. (note date change from 4-H Newsletter) This is a fundraiser for Codington County 4-H. Power 106 and Midwest Dairy Association will help sponsor this event. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June is dairy month so this is a good opportunity for 4-H clubs to support the dairy industry and promote 4-H.
