BigIron announces new CEO and COO

BigIron, an internet online auction service based in St. Edward, recently announced the promotion of H. Andrew Pyron as President, Chief Executive Officer. Pyron will assume the role effective immediately.

Pyron joined BigIron in 2014, as General Sales Manager and has spearheaded the sales initiatives and business development.

“We have seen significant improvement in all regional business growth since Andy assumed the lead over strategy and new revenue development. He has embraced and pursued the shared vision for Big Iron that we have had for our company since its inception. Prior to joining BigIron.com, Pyron spent over ten years with IronPlanet as Vice President, National Accounts and later Western Regions. Earlier, his career included progressive management and executive roles with leading equipment distribution and rental companies in addition to Vice President, Equipment and Supply Chain at MasTec a leading engineering and infrastructure construction company.

In addition to the promotion of Pyron, BigIron announced Bill Coleman as its Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Coleman will be responsible for creating BigIron’s operations strategy and policies in addition to the company’s technology development assessment and selection. Coleman has served in various consulting roles since the beginning of this year.

Bill is an established technology executive with a reputation for achieving desired results within targeted timelines,” said Pyron.

Coleman was previously involved in IronPlanet’s original business launch and strategy development and served as the company’s Vice President, Product Development and later Chief Operating Officer. He earlier served as Vice President, Research and Development for Symantec.
