Threshing bee set for Aug. 2 near Bristol

Bergen Lutheran Church’s Old Fashioned Threshing Bee will begin at 9 a.m. with a breakfast of eggs, sausage and pancakes. Threshing, featuring an Allis Chalmers Threshing Machine, will begin at 10 a.m. and will continue after an 11 a.m. church service.

There will also be a covered wagon ride.

Free will offerings will be accepted, and proceeds will be donated to Day County nursing homes: Bethesda, Sun Dial, and Strand-Kjorsvig.

Bergen Lutheran Church is located seven miles north and two miles east of Bristol.
