Angus champions parade at 2015 Illinois State Fair
Angus enthusiasts led 112 entries at the 2015 Illinois State Fair Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, August 18 in Springfield, Ill. Kyle Gillooly, Wadley, Ga., evaluated the 92 females, 15 bulls and five cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
Chestnut Knock Out 204 claimed grand champion bull honors after first winning the junior champion. Chestnut Angus Farm, Pipestone, Minn.; Kevin Retallick, Glen Haven, Wis.; and Top Line Farm, Tremont, Ill., own the February 2014 son of VA First Round.
Dameron First Choice was named reserve grand champion bull. Dameron Angus Farm, Lexington, Ill., owns the September 2014 son of EXG RS First Rate S903 R3 that first won senior calf champion.
Chase Anderson, Chrisman, Ill., captured grand champion female honors with DDA Northern Miss 1343. The September 2013 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303 first won senior champion.
Taylor Adcock, Moweaqua, Ill., led the reserve grand champion female. FCF Proven Queen 433 is a May 2014 daughter of Dameron First Class. She first won intermediate champion.
Morgan Kramer, Farina, Ill., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. FCF SCC Nellie 347 is a June 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class. An April 2015 heifer calf sired by Connealy Capitalist 028 completes the winning pair.
Dameron Lady 326 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Kalie Rumbold, Wyanet, Ill., owns the February 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class. A March 2015 heifer calf sired by S A V Brilliance 8077 is at side.
