Turn those wheels into cash

Farm Forum

Pierre, SD – Each Ralgro (zeranol) wheel provides $1 for the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association. Let’s roll in those empty wheels for cash.

“The Wheels for Bucks program and Ralgro deliver value to the producer in two ways,” says Jodie Anderson “members benefit from the additional weight Ralgro adds to their calves and our association gains more cash resources.”

For every wheel received during the SDCA Annual Convention, Merck Animal Health will give $1 to the organization. In addition, those donating the most wheels will be recognized during the meeting.

“Support from Merck Animal Health through the Wheels for Bucks program provides us additional resources to serve the needs of our members and we greatly appreciate the support of Merck and our members who donate,” says Anderson. “We’re looking to break our record of returned Ralgro wheels in 2015.”

The Wheels for Bucks program is a partnership between Merck Animal Health and participating state cattlemen’s organizations. Members bring in their empty Ralgro wheels to their annual state meeting to help raise money for their association.

Don’t forget to save your wheels and bring them to the 67th Annual SDCA Convention and Trade Show at the Pierre Ramkota December 9-10, 2015. Wheels can be dropped off at the Merck Animal Health booth in the Trade Show or at the registration desk.

Ralgro, a cattle implant from Merck Animal Health, helps the cattle industry sustainably produce more safe, quality beef by adding 20-35 pounds to calf weaning weights.
